Sixth Annual Phuket Surfing Contest Set for 8 - 10 September

The 6th Phuket surfing contest is scheduled to be organized during September 8th
to 10th at the popular tourist beach of
Kata beach in Phuket. The annual event will be attended by at least 120
surfers from more than 10 countries including Japan, UK, America, France and
Malaysia.
Organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Karon Municipality, Kata
Karon Business Operators’ Club and Phuket Boardriders Club, the event is
organized annually to spice up the tourism atmosphere during the monsoon or
green season. There will be 5 categories which are Long Board open division,
Short board, Grommet, Beginner and Body Boards. It is noticeable that
Kata &
Karon beaches are getting more and more popular for surfers. |
