Banyan Tree Phuket

Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket

This member of Starwood’s Luxury Collection hotel is equipped with an extensive range of meeting facilities including six conference rooms, of which the largest can seat up to 400 guests theatre-style. Its long list of various theme nights includes the one-of-a-kind Floating Market and the Tropical Beach Party.

With the extravagant Floating Market theme, guests will experience truly exotic and traditional Thai dining and entertainment. They are escorted by boat across the tranquil lagoon to board a dining pontoon set in the middle of a floating Thai village, which has been created to display traditional rural life on the riverbank. Those who choose the stunning Tropical Beach Party, will be mesmerized by the colours of the sunset over the shimmering waters of the Andaman Sea, before getting a chance to sample mouthwatering barbecued seafood in the breathtaking venue decorated with long-tailed fishing boats and a bonfire.

For accommodation, the resort has recently announced the opening of the off-site Private Pool Villas and Private Pool Residences which have their own swimming pool, kitchen, spacious living room, garden, Thai Sala and three or four bedrooms. The hotel has also renovated its 36 two-story one-bedroom Lagoon Villas, refurbished all hotel rooms and added 45 brand new Grande Rooms, bringing its inventory to 405 rooms and villas.

Dusit Laguna Resort

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, Dusit Laguna Resort, is famous for its expertise in small-to-medium-sized conferences with its four meeting rooms seating from 30 to 255 theatre-style. The hotel lobby bar terrace offers a relaxing outdoor reception area with a perfect view of the sunset. Expansive gardens provide memorable settings for social events and themed dinners. Recently added to the hotel’s meeting facilities and located right on the beach, is the Casuarina Beach Restaurant & Pub.

Re-opened in November 2005, Casuarina Beach Restaurant & Pub resurges with its new modern look of panoramic-view pub/bar, fashionable relaxing coffee break area and lively indoor and outdoor dining area. This outlet can also be an alternative meeting venue with its “meetings with a beach view” concept, providing the perfect blend of full-scale meeting facilities, relaxing atmosphere within air-conditioned comfort and the enjoyment of blissful sea views through its glass walls. The hotel’s other new restaurant, La Trattoria, which is located amidst a relaxing beachside garden offers another glass-walled function venue with sensational views.

Dusit Laguna Resort is also planning to transform its 32 Deluxe Ocean View Rooms into brand new modern-style Dusit Club Rooms, featuring a contemporary black, white and gold colour scheme. The highlights are radio and television audio in the bathroom, large flat-screen TV, spacious shower stall and luxury vanity unit, mirrored head boards and safe box for notebook computer. Dusit Club Room’s extra services will include 24-hour butler service, notebook computer and printer for rent, free in-room Internet connection, free use of Business Centre and free local calls, daily pre-dinner drinks at the lobby lounge and free afternoon tea at room’s sundeck. Dusit Club Rooms will be available from October 2006.

Laguna Beach Resort

This stylish hotel set amidst an atmosphere of ancient palace grounds surrounding a spectacular Water Park can facilitate different meeting requirements with its four meeting rooms seating up to 300 guests theatre-style. Its large Similan Room with an outdoor terrace located by the beach can cater to 350 banquet guests while many other venues offer different remarkable locations either by the pool, lagoon, beach or garden setting.

Laguna Beach Resort has recently refurbished its Cherngtalay Meeting Room located on the lobby floor with earth-tone silk walls, carpets and curtains as well as installing a state-of-the-art audio system. For meeting groups, wireless high speed Internet (wi-fi) is provided free of charge in all meeting rooms as well as the reception area and lobby bar. Broadband Internet connection has also been installed in guest rooms.

The hotel will refurbish its 252 hotel rooms commencing in May 2006 with the first batch of fresh new rooms scheduled for completion by October 2006, just before the start of the high season.

Allamanda Laguna Phuket
