Stone Replica of Persepolis Built in Thailand

A stone model of part of Persepolis designed by some Thai artists will be displayed in Thailand for public visit in a near future to introduce Iran’s tourism attraction sites.Stone model of Persepolis which was made by some Thai artists will be displayed for public visit in Pattaya’s Mini Siam “miniature city” in Thailand within two months.

Mini Siam or Little Siam is a miniature city located in a very big park in the northern outskirts of Pattaya with more than 100 models and replicas of sacred places and important historical sites from around Thailand and is one of the major tourist attraction sites of the city of Pattaya. In addition the miniature recreations of many notable monuments from around the world are also being displayed in Mini Siam such as Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and Abu Simbel.

This model of the historical palace of Persepolis was made by the continuous efforts of the Iranian Embassy in Thailand, intending to introduce Iran’s tourism attractions to the Thai people.

The ancient Palace of Persepolis, situated in Fars province, was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire and was built by the order of Darius the Great, the Achaemenid king in 518 BC. Persepolis is inscribed in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
