| Singapore's PM Lee to make introductory visits to Indonesia,
Thailand |

SINGAPORE : Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will
make a two-day visit to Indonesia starting on Monday.
He will also head to
Thailand
on Thursday for a two-day visit.
The visits are part of his ongoing series of introductory visits to ASEAN
capitals.
A Foreign Ministry statement says that for the visit to Indonesia, Prime
Minister Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Foreign Minister George Yeo,
and Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang.
Prime Minister Lee will meet Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
He will also meet Vice-President Jusuf Kalla, Speaker of the House of
Representatives Agung Laksono, Speaker of the Regional Representatives
Council Ginandjar Kartasasmita and Speaker of the People's Consultative
Assembly Hidayat Nur Wahid.
President Susilo will also host Prime Minister Lee and his delegation to an
official dinner.
For his visit to Thailand, Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by Mrs
Lee, Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean, Acting Second Minister for Finance, and
Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Raymond Lim.
The Singapore leader will have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister
Thaksin Shinawatra.
Prime Minister Lee and Mrs Lee will also travel to
Hua Hin
for an audience with
King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
During the visit, the two countries will be signing a Memorandum of
Understanding on mutual training and logistics support between the Republic
of Singapore Air Force and the Royal Thai Air Force. - CNA
