Accor will officially rebrand the
Panwa Beach Resort to Novotel Beach Resort Panwa, Phuket on 30 September
following the completion of a renovation programme that has upgraded product
and services to Novotel standards.
Accor
Managing Director Asia Pacific, Michael Issenberg, said Novotel branding
would complement the work done to bring the resort up to international
standards.
'With Novotel branding we will be able to really go after key leisure
markets, especially from Australia, Europe and Asia, where Novotel Resorts
are well known. We are seeing strong demand particularly from experienced
visitors looking for new hotels and beaches in Phuket, where guests can
experience Thai hospitality blended with our high international standards
and service.
'Public areas have been enlarged to enhance the feeling of space while
preserving stunning views of the Andaman Sea. The new design emphasises
Phuket's unique tropical feel; with the resort gardens featuring ponds and
lush indigenous plants from southern Thailand.
'Novotel Beach Resort Panwa's design means that the resort can be a haven
for both couples and families, especially with the new Kids Club.'
The resort now offers guests a new lounge and pub, The Shaker's Club,
remodelled reception and front office areas, a Jacuzzi overlooking the
hotel's private beach and a Kid's Club and play area. Behind the scenes, a
completely new kitchen has been added to enhance the food and beverage
offer, while Aroma Restaurant has been given a fresh new look.
Panwa Beach Resort entered the Accor network in 2001, undergoing a series
of renovations by the former owner until acquired by Natural Park Plc in
June 2004. As Thailand's leading full-range real estate developer, Natural
Park Plc completed the renovation programme to guestrooms and hotel grounds
in late 2004, lifting hotel standards to meet Novotel brand requirements.
