| A surprise visitor to Thailand this week is Serena Williams, fresh from her victory in the Australian Open |
 On
the advice of sister Venus, who was in Thailand last month, Serena decided
to celebrate her win and relax in the Kingdom and has been staying at the
Chiva-Som International Health Resort in
Hua
Hin.
She was met by deputy president of the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand (LTAT), Chaipak Siriwat whose family looked after Venus when she was in Thailand. Serena arrived with her mother Oracene and trainer late on Tuesday night. Venus is not with them as she is preparing for her next tournament in California. Serena will visit the Grand Palace at 2pm this afternoon and will leave for England tonight (Feb 3, 2005) |
